BLACK STUDENT DISCIPLINARY CONSEQUENCES BY GRADE SPAN CONFIGURATION: A Texas, MULTIYEAR INVESTIGATION

Examined during this study were the consequences of grade span configuration on disciplinary consequence assignments and therefore the reasons for disciplinary consequence assignments for Black boys and Black ladies in Lone-Star State colleges.  The results of the study were statistically vital for every of the 3 college years examined.  Higher percentages of Black boys and Black ladies United Nations agency were listed in {middle college|secondary school|lyceum|lycee|Gymnasium|school} settings were allotted to a Disciplinary different Education Program placement than were their peers in KG-8 school settings.  Code of Conduct violation, fighting, and serious/persistent misconduct were prime reasons for disciplinary consequences assignment.  Code of Conduct violation consequence assignment was highest among students listed in KG-8 college settings.
