Abstracts
Background: Endometriosis is a common disease seen in women of reproductive age yet its pathophysiology is often problematic. It is caused due to the presence of endometrial glands or stoma in sites other than the uterine cavity. The most frequent clinical presentations of endometriosis include dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain, dyspareunia, infertility, and pelvic mass. However, the correlation between these symptoms and the stage of endometriosis is poor.
Objectives: To discover new aspects in the pathophysiology and treatment of Endometriosis.
Search Methods: Various researches performed on endometriosis were studied and a collaborative study is done.
Results: We understood that various factors are involved in endometriosis. Starting from retrograde menstruation, to toxic causes, to environmental factors, all were studied in detail.
Discussion & Conclusion: It was analyzed that many factors were involved as the causing factors behind endometriosis. The new treatments approaches were also studied and was observed that treatment approach is still under darkness and researches can be done for better treatment approaches.
