Background: Gold nanoparticles are the most prominent metal nanoparticles and having wide range of applications in drug delivery and many therapeutic potentials.
Materials and
Methods: In this present investigation we have used some Indian herbal plants
for the green synthesis of gold nanoparticles and its antibacterial efficacy
was measured.
Results: The
medicinal plants such as Alternanthera bettzickiana, Gymnema sylvestre and
Andrographis paniculata used for the synthesis and characterized using UV-vis
spectroscopy. The antibacterial activity of gold nanoparticles such as Bacillus
subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus luteus, Enterobacter aerogenes,
Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
