LASER PULSE HEATING IN THERMO-MICROSTRETCH ELASTIC LAYER OVERLYING THERMOELASTIC HALFSPACE

Abstracts
In the present problem the 2D deformation under the effect of laser pulse heating in a thermo microstretch elastic solid at the interface of thermoelastic solid is discussed. A laser pulse is applied along an overlaying thermo microstretch elastic layer of thickness d. The problem is in the context of Green Naghdi (GN) theory. The analytic expressions for components of normal displacement, temperature distribution, normal force stress and tangential couple stress for the considered solid have been obtained using normal mode analysis technique. The effect of micropolarity,  stretch and laser pulse heating on the derived components have been depicted graphically.
