Effect of land use associated slope on hand-picked soil properties of an Alfisol in Afaka forest space, Northern Guinea savannah of Federal Republic of Nigeria

Land use changes from forest into cultivated ecosystems result in negative impact on soil structure and quality. the aim of this study was to work out result of land use associate degreed slope on designated properties and quality of an Alfisol in Afaka forest, Northern Guinea savannah of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Land use systems, as well as natural forest and soil were known. Eighteen (18) composite disturbed and undisturbed samples were collected from depth of 0-5 and 5-10cm for analysis of pertinent soil properties within the laboratory victimization rigid grid procedure. Most physical and chemical properties show relative variations in response to land use varieties and geomorphic positions.
